Bhastrika Pranayama

Bhastrika means bellows- a device constructed to supply a strong blast of air. A commonly misunderstood pranayama practice. This form of pranayama when performed correctly contributes a positive impact to the organs of digestion, drains sinuses and leaves you with a feeling of exhilaration. When improperly performed can have negative effects on the nerves and cells of the brains. 
In this restorative/pranayama special class we will prepare the bodymind for bhastrika through supported, restorative asanas carefully observing and manipulating the breath.
